    Frequently Asked Questions

    How do I get started? 

    If you want to sell: To list your equipment for sale. Download our list template, update your list, send it to us, and we'll get it listed. 
    If you want to buy: Subscribe to our Surplus Connect Circle and we'll send out new listings via email. You'll be able to respond to listings with a silent bid. We'll let you know the status of your bid, when the seller accepts a bid. 

    Is there a fee to use Surplus Connect?

    There is no fee to buy or to send us your list (in our templated format) for us to shop around to our network. As a seller, if you accept a bid, you'll pay a transaction fee (see pricing section). Those who join Surplus Connect Pro will enjoy unlimited sales at an incredibly reduced transaction fee. 

    What happens when an offer is accepted by the seller?

    We'll let the buyer know the offer has been accepted by the seller. Surplus Connect will send the buyer an invoice (due on receipt) for the full amount. Surplus Connect will then let the seller know we have received funds from the buyer, the seller will ship the inventory to buyer (per buyers shipping instructions), buyer has 5 business days to inspect the equipment from receipt of the inventory to their location. After buyer confirms or 5 days have passed, funds will be distributed to the seller via ACH from Surplus Connect (less the transaction fees).

    How do we handle shipping? 

    The buyer is responsible for arranging shipping. The seller is responsible for the inventory being ready to ship (safely packaging in boxes or pellets). The buyer has 3 business days to arrange shipping freight or UPS. Surplus Connect can provide shipping quotes or freight arrangements. Send us a message to ship@surplusconnect.com
